Hello,

My name is Cornelius Jackson and I started learning DC Hand Dancing since March of 2010.  Although I had learned other dances prior to learning Hand Dancing, no other dance has given me the joy, excitement, and thrill that I get from Hand Dancing.  Even in teaching Hand Dance, the joy, and happiness I see in the face of those learning fuels my passion for the dance all the more.  This allows me the patience to wait with encouragement and a warm smile to uplift my students on this beautiful journey of self-development and self-expression.

In my development of learning to Hand Dance, through instruction and countless hours on and off the dance floor, I have participated on Silky Smooth Hand Dance Troupe team and assisted in instructing students at Silky Smooth Dance Studio. In social environments, I jump at the opportunity to dance with as many women as I can, from professionals to those with little or no experience at all, to expand my skills to lead regardless of the situation.  By doing so, I am able to constantly place myself in the shoes of a beginner and properly guide them in the direction they are to go.
